Improved access to Centrelink Services

22nd Jul 2025

Guyra residents now have improved access to Centrelink services, thanks to a new outreach initiative by Services Australia. For some time, the local community has needed a Centrelink presence, and now that need is being addressed.
A representative from Services Australia is making regular visits to the Guyra Neighbourhood Centre (GNC) to assist locals with their Centrelink needs.
In addition, a Services Australia Indigenous Service Officer will be holding a series of information sessions at the GNC. These sessions aim to help community members access payments and services, learn how to use online tools, and connect with other available support in the region.
The first session will take place on July 28, with follow-up sessions scheduled for August 18, September 2, and September 22.
This initiative is a welcome development for the Guyra community, improving access to essential services and support systems.
