Community and Village Grants to support local projects

12th May 2026

Community groups and organisations from across the region have been awarded funding in the latest round of Armidale Regional Council’s (ARC) Community Grants Program, and four new village projects have received support via the latest round of Village Grants funding.
ARC’s Community Small Grants and Community Support Grants support groups and services within our local government area to deliver projects that address community needs, while promoting social inclusion and community connection.
Similarly, Village Grants provide financial support for initiatives that benefit the region’s village communities.
The latest grant rounds closed on 23 March 2026. According to Mayor Sam Coupland, each grant benefits people and the region.
“By regularly offering Community and Village Grants, Council can assist local groups to continue the good work they do, including delivering projects and programs that help build stronger, more connected communities,” said Mayor Coupland.
“I’m proud that we are able to support grassroots organisations through this funding. They play a vital role enriching the social, cultural, and recreational fabric of our region - and sometimes a little ‘leg-up’ is all that is needed for a great project to get off the ground and make a big impact!”
