Guyra Adult Learning Association (GALA), trading as the New England Community College (NECC), has welcomed two new staff members as part of an exciting period of growth.
GALA CEO Kelso Looker said the organisation is pleased to strengthen its team with experienced community-focused professionals.
“We’re pleased to welcome new team members who bring strong community experience and contribute to the continued growth of NECC,” he said.
Heidi McElnea has joined as Outreach Support Officer, replacing long-serving staff member Leonie Taylor, who is retiring after many years of dedicated service.
Ms McElnea brings extensive experience in community engagement and education, having worked with not-for-profit organisations, local Council and regional businesses. Her role will focus on delivering tailored educational opportunities and improving access to lifelong learning across the New England region.
“I am really looking forward to working with NECC to deliver programs and courses that meet the needs of our local communities,” Ms McElnea said.
Elizabeth Rosser has taken on the role of Accounts and Marketing and will become a familiar face at the NECC front desk.
Ms Rosser has a strong background in community outreach, event management and support, with experience across a range of not-for-profit organisations throughout Australia.
“I am happy to be back working in Guyra and, after collaborating with NECC on various projects, I’m excited to now be joining the team,” she said.
