Last chance to support Mango Fundraiser

21st Oct 2025

Mango season is almost here and so is the annual Guyra Mango Fundraiser is back for its 11th year, offering trays of juicy Kensington Pride mangoes just in time for Christmas. What started in 2014 with just 88 trays has now grown into a local tradition, with previous years seeing between 300 and 600 trays sold. Last year marked the biggest effort yet, with a record 600 trays snapped up by mango-loving locals.
Organiser Kayla Turnham says pre-orders are now essential due to increasing demand and changing market conditions. The fundraiser only works when they know how many mangoes are truly wanted and can sell out, so pre orders are essential. The closing date is October 25th with delivery expected in the second week of December.
Kayla says the fundraiser was inspired by her North Queensland upbringing.
“I grew up with mango trees in my backyard and have a love for Kensington Pride mangoes,” she said. “This fundraiser lets me share that joy with my family and community, while supporting a cause close to our hearts.”
What’s on offer:
• 7kg trays of sweet Kensington Pride mangoes
• Approx. 12–23 mangoes per tray depending on size
• Perfect timing for festive gatherings and summer treats
• Cost: $28 per tray
