Young Spellers Shine at Annual Premier’s Spelling Bee

On June 3rd, students from Kindergarten to Year 6 came together at Guyra Central School for the annual Premier’s Spelling Bee, an event dedicated to celebrating literacy, learning, and the enthusiasm of young spellers.
The competition brought together talented students eager to showcase their spelling abilities and support each other in a spirit of friendly competition and sportsmanship.
Throughout the day, participants demonstrated impressive spelling skills and perseverance, displaying both confidence and camaraderie. Staff and families were thrilled to witness the outstanding performances, and all students were applauded for their effort and positive attitude.
Stage Winners and Runners-up:
• Kindergarten: Winner – Addisyn Dittman | Runner-up – Ruby Mayled
• Stage 1: Winner – Aria Vidler | Runner-up – Kailyn Dittman
• Stage 2: Winner – Ivie-Mae Atcheson-Shozi | Runner-up – Lachlan Small
• Stage 3: Winner – Ariella Galindo | Runner-up – Hugh Kliendienst
Organisers said that the Premier’s Spelling Bee is a wonderful occasion to celebrate student achievement and the power of literacy.
