Guyra Gift winners

28th Aug 2019

The ‘Guyra Gift’, an initiative created in 1996 by students in Year 11’s Sport and Recreation class has become a traditional event during Guyra Central Schools Education Week Celebrations.
The ‘Guyra Gift’ is a handicapped 100m dash with one student representative from each class and two teacher representatives, handicaps are determined by age, size and times; the ‘Guyra Gift’ has become a much anticipated annual event.
Congratulations to stage 3 competitor Ella Vidler, who placed 1st in the Guyra Gift followed by Stage 1 competitor Sammy-Rose Dowden in 2nd place and Stage 1 competitor Lachie Colley-Ellis in 3rd place.  Congratulations to all the students who were selected and given the honour of competing in this 23 year old tradition.
Thank you to Mr Scott Miller and Miss Ainsley Fletcher for organising this exciting event.
