Guyra Show Society is celebrating three nominations in the 2025 AgShows NSW Award. These awards provide an opportunity to honour the individuals and societies that go above and beyond and to acknowledge the efforts that often go unnoticed.
Dorothy Lockyer has been nominated for the 2025 AgShows NSW Living Legend Award. This prestigious honour recognises individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and made long-standing contributions to agricultural shows and their local Show Societies.
The Living Legend Award celebrates those who have devoted countless hours to supporting the show movement, strengthening community engagement, and ensuring the continuation of rural and regional traditions.
In addition to Dorothy’s nomination, Guyra Show Society has been recognised for their outstanding Lamb Show and Sale, which took place at the 2025 Guyra Show. The event has been nominated for the 2025 Innovation – Event/Project Award, celebrating creative and impactful initiatives that benefit Agricultural Societies. With an overwhelming positive response, the Society is already looking ahead to a bigger and better event in 2026.
Congratulations also to Cattle Steward Chad Williamson, who has been nominated for the 2025 Rising Star Award. This award honours individuals aged 18 to 45 who are showing outstanding leadership and involvement within their Show Societies and the broader show community.
Winners will be announced at the Celebrating Ag Shows Gala Dinner in Armidale on Saturday, June 21st, 2025.
