New Minister welcomed to Guyra

Reverend Paul Seiler and his wife Carol
18th Aug 2026

The Presbyterian Churches of Guyra and Glen Innes gathered at St Columba’s Presbyterian Church in Guyra on Sunday, August 9th, to welcome Reverend Paul Seiler and his wife, Carol, who have committed to serving the local area.
Church Moderator Peter Barber from Inverell officiated at the special combined service, which was attended by representatives from Inverell, as well as people from across the Guyra, Glen Innes and district communities.
The service also included the commissioning of Scott Wright as an elder of the Glen Innes Presbyterian Church.
The 2pm service provided an opportunity for members of the two congregations and the wider community to come together and welcome Paul and Carol to the area.
Following the service, everyone was invited to afternoon tea in the McKie Hall, where Paul and Carol cut a cake as a gesture of welcome. The afternoon provided plenty of opportunity for people to meet, greet and enjoy conversation over a generous spread of afternoon tea.
The regular weekly services will now resume, with worship at St Columba’s Presbyterian Church in Guyra at 9am and Glen Innes at 11am.
