TroutFest baits its hooks for 2021

16th Jun 2021

This year the TroutFest committee is planning a different program to fit COVD requirements but the popular children’s fishing clinic will hopefully go ahead on the Saturday as well as the hugely popular weekend of open gardens.
The committee is keen to get input from retailers for what it believes is a very exciting new approach for the businesses of Guyra. Given that the twin aims of the festival is to put Guyra on the map as a trout fishing destination and to bring business to town by attracting people from all over, getting people into the main street is a priority. We hope to have events at many locations in the centre of town. We’ve already received two fantastic suggestions from different retailers showing the creativity that’s possible when many heads get together.
The committee would therefore like to invite all retailers, artists, entertainers and especially people with ideas and enthusiasm for our town of Guyra, to a public discussion  on Monday July 5th. Come and join the TroutFest committee or just bring your input and ideas to our brainstorming session July 5th. Time and venue to be announced.
This year’s festival will be the third weekend of October (16th) pending input from the Guyra Anglers Club.
